Notable Inc. is proud to announce a new entry on their Roster of talented artists: Renato Serio.

If we were to describe the characteristics of Renato Serio in two simple words, the most appropriate would probably be “polyhedric musician”: running down his biography is sufficient to discover his prominent presence – as orchestrator and as conductor – in numerous fields of music. His perception of music has always rejected barren obstacles amongst the genres: the personal mix of classic orchestration and more modern sounds is expressed in his highly appreciated and easily recognizing scoring. Obviously, the result is fruit of his extensive training: in fact R. Serio studied Piano, Composition, Orchestral Conducting, Organ and Electronic Music, at first in his hometown Lucca (Tuscany) and after in Milan, where his activities begin. Notable, Inc. is proud to announce the entry of Michelle Hawkin, a phenomenal vocalist.  Michelle is also a dedicated  and award-winning choral director and music educator.  Her groups consistently rank among the top vocal jazz ensembles in the state and country.

Most recently, Michelle took over directing the premier vocal group at Valley Christian Conservatory of the Arts, which placed 1st at the Folsom Jazz Festival Sweepstakes Competition, and they were invited to perform with renowned arranger/director Phil Mattson in New York City.

Michelle holds a MM in Jazz Studies from the University of Southern California where she studied with jazz greats, Tierney Sutton, Jennifer Barnes, and Shelly Berg.  She received her BA in Music from the University of California at Berkeley where she was principal flutist of the Berkeley Symphony and studied conducting with Dr. David Milnes, and flute with Timothy Day (San Francisco Conservatory).  Michelle credits much of her current musicianship to her classical training as an instrumentalist.
